Welcome to Merit OpenShop Contractors Association (MOCAO). Thank you for your interest in joining the Association. As Merit OpenShop Contractors Association grows with new members, so does our ability to represent your interests to government and affect positive change for the open shop construction industry. With a great membership base, we can continue to enhance our human resource services for construction businesses.

There are 3 types of memberships available

To Join the Association as a General Member, please complete the General Member Application Form.

To Join the Association as a Benefit Member, please complete the Benefit Member Application.

To Join the Association as an Associate member, please complete the Associate Member Application.

MOCAO fees vary based on size of company and if you participate in the Benefits Plan. Fees are pro-rated for new members joining after April 1.

2010 MOCAO yearly membership fees

In addition all new member companies must be approved at a meeting of the Board of Directors.

After your application has been approved by Merit OpenShop Contractors Association Board of Directors, we will:

• Add your information to the Member Search Section to encourage member networking
• Invite you to all your annual events, (ie. Annual General Meeting, Golf Tournament, Seminars)
• Mail the passwords for the Members Only Section and constructionjobstores.com
• Provide information on accessing the affinity program known as MeritPerks.ca
• Send our monthly electronic newsletter
• Members will receive regular updates on our current political situation
• Continually lobby the government for freedom and equality for open shop contractors
• Receive access to the BEST benefit plan in the industry
