Welcome to Merit OpenShop Contractors Association (MOCAO). Thank you for your interest in joining the Association. As Merit OpenShop Contractors Association grows with new members, so does our ability to represent your interests to government and affect positive change for the open shop construction industry. With a great membership base, we can continue to enhance our human resource services for construction businesses.

To Join the Merit Benefits Plan, participation in the Merit HourBank benefits plan is required. A minimum of 3 employees (including owner) is required. Please complete the application forms and fax the forms to 416-483-3095 or email to nick@openshop.ca.

MOCAO annual fees vary based on size of company and if you participate in the Benefits Plan. Fees are pro-rated for new members joining after April1.

In addition all new member companies must be approved at a meeting of the Board of Directors.

After your application has been approved by the Merit OpenShop Contractors Association Board of Directors, we will:

  • Add your information to the Member Search Section
  • Mail the passwords for the Members Only Section and constructionjobstores.com
  • Provide information on accessing the affinity program known as MeritPerks.ca
  • Send our monthly electronic newsletter.
